Let me first say, if you haven’t read my previous article
When I say “You” here, I don’t necessarily mean “You” I advise you to read it first so that you can better understand me while you read the below.
I really would rather be doing something else.
I shouldn’t feel called to write this article. I don’t want to write this article but it’s become an itch I can ignore no longer. So please, forgive me, if my tone comes off of as harsh/stern/judgy. That is not what I’m doing, to borrow a metaphor I made up myself (Well, I think? I pick up a lot of things from a lot of places): I’m simply just trying to point out like a friend that there’s broccoli in your teeth, that your fly is down, that there’s toilet on your shoe, that your shirt is on backwards.
Everywhere these days I see people having an edge with each other. For context, the people I’ve been seeing were on the streets of New York and on social media. I haven’t been back in TX long enough to observe and make a worthy observation, but locations don’t really matter; I know for a fact that everyone is seeing what’s happening on the internet and through media and stepping through social media. It is not something that makes someone lighthearted.
Don’t get me wrong, I see good/positive things too, there is such a lot of good/positive in the world. But there is too much bad/negative and it is driving us all bonkers, well I can’t speak for you but it is certainly driving me bonkers.
You’ve gotta realize something
Look we’re all different, but can we not appreciate that we’re all children of the Earth and that makes us all siblings (noticed how I included all genders). We are certainly different, but we are BEAUTIFULLY different. Some of these differences upset us, but do they have to? Why are we getting so upset lately? Your emotions are getting away from you people.
Now I’m not trying to be the “Tone Police™”, but believe me, I would if I could– I would always be happy to help you out if your emotions are running around and lasso them up. But see, I can’t do that, they’re not my emotions, just like a loyal trained dog, they won’t listen to me.
It has to be you, you’ve got to catch them and keep them under control. Now I know, it’s impossible to control your emotions they sprout up like flowers/weeds from deep inside your chest, it’s not like they have a physical switch or dial to turn them off on a whim. But let me sum up what is possible by explaining the process of what happens out in the world concerning your emotions in four simple steps:
Step 1 – Some external stimuli fertilizes an emotion
Step 2 – Your emotion sprouts
Step 3 – You feel that emotion sprouting
Step 4 – You react based on the emotion that grows
I would like to suggest to you to consider adding a new step in-between 3 & 4. So the new order of operations would be:
Step 1 – Some external stimuli fertilizes an emotion
Step 2 – Your emotion sprouts
Step 3 – You feel that emotion sprouting
Step 4 – You take a look at the sprouting emotion and decide if you should allow it to grow in the garden of your mind
Step 5 – You react based on the emotion that grows
Let me explain what I’m suggesting. I’m suggesting that as humans, we may not be able to control out emotions, but we do have the ability to control our reactions to our emotions.
Now, in case you’re working ahead of me, let me make clear that I am not suggesting that any emotion you choose is wrong. There are times that call for sadness/anger and there are times you can’t help but be jealous, hateful, ferocious, and just downright mean. Many times without realizing it, or also realizing it after it’s too late.
Let’s go threw the different emotions we can grow in our mental gardens, I will save the best for last and rank them in my own ascending order and my thoughts about them. Your order and thoughts may be different and that’s ok, these are just my thought seeds– they are free and you are welcome to take them or leave them at your discretion. I will not be addressing all of the emotions for they are on a spectrum just like anything else, there are far too many to get to them all in one article. Just know, though I may not mention the emotion below, does not mean it doesn’t apply to it, all hues of the light spectrum all follow the same laws of physics after all.
The Emotions
Anger
Other words that fall under the anger umbrella are: annoyed, agitated, fed up, irritated, mad, critical, resentful, disgusted, outrages, raging, furious, livid, bitter.
Anger as an emotion/tool should take great consideration before using, ideally it should gather dust within your mind because you use it as sparingly as possible. Anger is more likely to come in like a wrecking ball and destroy whatever is in front of you.
Hardly any situations should trigger anger, and yet it is a sledgehammer that people often reach for. Anger does not solve problems. Anger only affects yourself and the person is directed at negatively. It is a common known law of physics that like attracts like and, as above so below, so as such: negativity begets negativity.
Is negativity something that you would like to cast upon others, let alone yourself? Maybe so, maybe so, but I would wager the person reading this would not.
Sad
Other words related to sadness are: depressed, desperate, dejected, heavy, crushed, disgusted, upset, hateful, sorrowful, mournful, weepy, frustrated.
Here’s the thing with sad, most of the emotions within this category are emotions that “we just can’t help”. Some of these, in the right circumstances, can also be seen/used healthily. I would say the emotions within sad are up to your discretion, there is no deadline or S.O.P. for any of these emotions. Feel them for as long as you need to, and there is nothing wrong with feeling these ones. Do realize that there will come a time when you should put them down, it won’t do you good to carry these ones forever. These ones suck you in as quicksand and you can beat them using similar methods: realize your situation and what got you there, accept it, don’t panic, breathe, and relax into it, lay back and let yourself float to the top and slowly make your way to the edge. Don’t let yourself get sucked in.
Confusion
The different parts of confusion: Uncertain, upset, doubtful, indecisive, perplexed, embarrassed, hesitant, shy, lost, unsure, pessimistic, tense
These all aren’t so bad, definitely ok to be confused and be real with it. The solution to all of these emotions is simple: learn more.
That’s it, you must just learn more and you will overcome all of these. Learn about yourself, learn about others, learn how to think, learn how to not care, learn how to be confident, learn how to plan, learn your capabilities, learn to grow your capabilities, learn to have full confidence in any given situation, learn that life is how you look at it, learn that every unfortunate experience is an opportunity to learn. You can do it, learning is easy, you just have to read a book about whatever it is you want to know. You can learn an infinite amount of things and there is a book out there about absolutely anything you wish to know, you can find whatever information you need and things beyond your wildest dreams, you just have to start down the path.
Happy
Now we’re getting to the good stuff.
Oh what a delight, all the different ways to be happy: Amused, delighted, glad, pleased, charmed, grateful, kind, optimistic, content, joyful, enthusiastic, loving, marvelous
Don’t you just feel even more positively charged after reading all of these words? That’s the secret to them, all you have to do is think of them.
You can call on these emotions any time you so choose, these are not emotions that are necessarily triggered from the outside world. True happiness comes from within and all you have to do is choose it. It’s possible that you may be looking for happiness through the exterior world, but true happiness comes from within, if you say you’re looking for it that infers that you don’t already have it.
I want you to know that you have true happiness within your heart and you can always call upon it whenever you like. You can say that you’re going to have a perfect day and nothing will bring you down, this is the day I choose to be more loving to others, this is the day I choose to be more loving to myself, this is the day that I don’t let other’s negativity get to me.

Energized
You pumped yet? Determined, inspired, creative, healthy, renewed, vibrant, strengthened, motivated, focused, invigorated, refreshed.
Energized, my gosh. Just breathing another sweet breath of sweet sweet life sends electricity down my spine and goosebumps cascading across my shoulder-blades, and across my back.
It can be tough to get energized, it really takes a lot of energy to go from low to high if you happen to be low. Looking at the states associated with energized, they have the answer within them.
You’ve got to be healthy, expose yourself to things that gas yourself up, rest, know what you want, and be energized in the fact that once you decide you want something, you already have it because you you how to get there or at least know that you can figure it out. Know that you can have whatever you like, that you can imagine, so long as you put in the proper work and don’t give up. Should you fully realize and accept the infinite capabilities you indeed posses within you, then the infinite possibilities will bring you infinite joy.
Strong
You are strong. The fact that you are here reading this is proof of that. You have made it this far, despite every obstacle life threw at you, congratulations. There’s a good amount of people who never got the privilege to stand where you do today, to see what you see, to live in the way that you do. This, like anything has a positive viewpoint that we can choose to apply. How fortunate you are to be where you are. You aren’t just fortunate though, fortune alone doesn’t get one through life alone. You had to learn, grow, overcome, and continue forward– no matter what you’ve felt/encountered so far in your journey on this Earthly plane.
Sure, certain, unique, dynamic, tenacious, hardy, secure, empowered, ambitious, powerful, confident, bold, determined.
Now, you are strong.. but how strong are you? We all know that we aren’t born with strength, strength is built.
You must train to be strong, you must put in the time, the reps, you must hold yourself accountable, push yourself, surpass your limits.
Easy mode doesn’t cut it, half-assed doesn’t promote the growth to make you better. You must willingly put yourself into situations that you’d rather not be in. To be the strongest, you must always give more than your all.
To be the strongest, you must realize where the real strength comes from.
Real strength comes from the heart-mind. Real strength comes from the inner spirit. One can be many times “weaker” than the opponent, but with the proper spirit they can overcome any and all– no matter the tide of battle. One with the proper actualization of their spirit realizes that all it takes is more will than another, to get up from the ground more times than they do. The power of the spirit is what gives the power to the body, without the spirit the body is just a lump of meat. The power of the spirit is limitless.
Find your inner strength and train your spirit/body so that you have full confidence in not only fighting for good, but having the strength to speak out and stand up for what you know in your heart-of-hearts to be right.
Love
We all know this one, doesn’t hurt to have a refresher, I revisit as many foundations as I can once a year.
Patient, kind, rejoices with the truth, always protects, forgives, trusts, hopes, preserves.
Love is the strongest emotion and greatest thing there is. Love conquers all. Love is infectious, like a virus.
Love yourself, love your greatness, forgive your downfalls, realize that you are perfect as you are. Gas yourself up because you are intelligent infinity and you are light and love and as such you are absolutely perfect.
Love is often hindered by the hate in the world, the hate of the world, the hate steeped into it by the minds of others. Hate is close to love and hate is also infectious and while love is often inhibited in the hateful auras of others, please know that hate is vastly inferior to love.
Love conquers all, and hate is trivial when approached with love, it cannot survive. The light within you is greater, the love within you is greater, those who hate have no power over you, one who loves. You douse their hate with love like water to a fire.
Hate only seeks to breed hate, do not let it take hold within you. Face hate with love and allow it to run out of energy.
That’s nowhere near all of the emotions and combinations of emotions that need to be addressed.
There are far more emotions and combinations of emotions to be addressed than I have done here today, however I think what I’ve written has been sufficient in giving you some things to consider regarding emotions.
